You decide who can reach you and how much you share. This page explains the controls in OnlyMates today and a few habits that help when you meet someone new.

01In the app

Controls youcan use today.

  • Block

    Block anyone from their profile or from a live room. A blocked person can no longer see you in discovery, message you or call you. Your blocked list is in your profile, and you can unblock at any time.

  • Mutual before messages

    Nobody can message you, or call you as a match, until you have both liked each other. Live mode is the one exception, and only while you choose to be live.

  • Hide your online status

    Turn off your online indicator in privacy settings so you can browse without looking available.

  • Your signed-in devices

    See every device that is signed in to your account. Sign out of any one of them, or sign out everywhere at once.

  • Adults only

    You must be 18 or older to use OnlyMates. Age is worked out from the date of birth you give when you sign up.

  • Moderated rooms

    New rooms are reviewed before they go live. Inside a room, hosts can mute, remove and block people, and rooms that break the guidelines can be suspended or closed.

  • Delete your account

    Delete your account from Profile, then Account management. You leave discovery straight away and have 30 days to change your mind.

    OnlyMates never asks for your OTP, password or bank details. Nobody you meet should either.

  2. 02

    Keep your phone number, address, workplace and ID documents to yourself until you truly trust someone.

  3. 03

    Be wary of anyone who asks for money, gifts or payments, however urgent the story.

  4. 04

    If you decide to meet in person, choose a public place and tell a friend where you are going.

  5. 05

    Trust your instincts. You can end a call, leave a room or block someone at any moment.

03Something wrong?

Tell us, andblock them first.

If someone makes you uncomfortable, block them straight away so they cannot contact you again. Then tell the OnlyMates team what happened, with their name, when it happened and any screenshots you have.
