Community Guidelines

OnlyMates works because people treat each other well. These guidelines apply to everyone, in every profile, chat, call and room.

Respect and consent

  • Treat people the way you would want to be treated by a stranger you have just met.
  • If someone says no, stops replying, ends a call or leaves a room, let it go. Do not keep messaging or calling.
  • No harassment, bullying, threats or intimidation.
  • No hate or discrimination based on gender, sexuality, religion, caste, race, disability or any other part of who someone is.

Be yourself

  • You must be 18 or older. Give your real date of birth.
  • Use photos of yourself, or an avatar. Do not use someone else's photos.
  • Do not pretend to be another person, a public figure or OnlyMates staff.
  • One account per person.

What is not allowed

Anywhere on OnlyMates, including profiles, chats, calls, live mode and rooms:

  • Nudity, sexually explicit content, or requests for it.
  • Anything that sexualises or endangers minors.
  • Violence, threats, or content that encourages self-harm.
  • Illegal activity, including drugs, weapons and fraud.
  • Spam and advertising for other apps, products or services.

Money and scams

  • Never ask another member for money, gifts, recharges or bank transfers.
  • Never ask for, or share, OTPs, passwords, PINs, card numbers or identity documents.
  • Do not promote investments, loans, betting or "earn money" offers.

Other people's privacy

  • Do not share screenshots, photos or personal details of other members outside the app without their clear permission.
  • Do not record calls or rooms without telling everyone involved.
  • Do not try to find or publish someone's address, workplace or contact details.

Rooms and hosting

  • Give your room an honest title and category. New rooms are reviewed before they go live.
  • Hosts set the tone. Use mute, remove and block when someone breaks these guidelines.
  • Do not use rooms to sell things or move people to other platforms.

When rules are broken

Depending on what happened, OnlyMates may remove a room, suspend an account or close it permanently. [ENFORCEMENT POLICY REQUIRED]

Telling us

If you see something that breaks these guidelines, block the person and contact the team through the contact page. The safety centre has more on staying safe.
